Please share and notify everyone you know and please participate in the Wisconsin Cannabis State Wide Lobby Day on Wednesday January 16th, 2013!

Wisconsin is only 1 of three states in our country where the citizens can not start a state wide referendum. “NORML” Jeff, field activist with Northern Wisconsin NORML started a petition (Legalize state wide referendums in Wisconsin) using www.signon.org so we the citizens of the state of Wisconsin can vote on matters we feel need to be addressed. This could bring the power back to the people of our great state and give us all a voice of our own!

SAVE THE DATE OF WEDNESDAY JANUARY 16TH, 2013

On Wednesday morning, November 14, 2012 from 6:00 AM to 7:00 AM Jay Selthofner, C0-Founder and Treasurer with Northern Wisconsin NORML will be talking about hemp and cannabis on Wisconsin Public Radio and speaking to host Joy Cardin in depth about the issue of hemp cannabis and marijuana reform.

We plan to discuss why marijuana should be legalized, how optimistic I am that it will be legalized in Wisconsin one day, past attempts at legalization in Wisconsin, current cannabis law in Wisconsin and the medical benefits of marijuana.

You can join in the conversation, it has already begun on Facebook, as the Joy Cardin Facebook Page posted a teaser about the interview and asked these questions to fans.

Now that Colorado and Washington state have both voted to legalize the recreational use of marijuana, what is the state of cannabis legalization in Wisconsin? We’ll talk with the co-founder of Northern Wisconsin NORML (National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws) on Wednesday from 6-7am.

Do you think Wisconsin should legalize marijuana for recreational use? How about medicinal marijuana? Or growing agricultural hemp?

Every weekday from 6am to 9am on the Ideas Network stations, you’ll hear Joy Cardin talking with a wide variety of guests about current issues. Policy-makers and politicos field questions from Joy and her callers on a wide array of timely state, national and international topics.

Joy’s producers, Rob FerrettCynthia SchusterBill Martensand Amanda Magnus look for knowledgeable guests from different political and social perspectives.

You can join the conversations each weekday morning by using the toll-free call-in number1-800-642-1234 (Madison Listeners please use 263-1890). You can also e-mail us at talk@wpr.org.
